City Sculpture Walking Tour
Join Mark Holsworth on a walking tour of Melbourne’s public sculpture – the good, the bad and the ugly. They are all worth a look for public sculpture both decorates and tells the history of the city. See a selection of sculptures from 18th to the 21st century, from the historic to the comic, from memorials to the play sculpture. Learn about the sculptures, the sculptors who made them and the people of Melbourne who live with the sculptures.
Duration 2 hours
Meeting at the Redmond Barry Memorial in the forecourt of the State Library of Victoria on Swanston Street.
Finish at Federation Square for coffee and discussion.
Most of the route is paved but there will be some walking on grass, so appropriate footwear is required.
